mckee dees is beating us

Beating Mickey Dees on the Food Tip...

By Brother Tracy Gibson...

Finding Alternatives to McDonalds…..

There are a number of Black Restaurants in Philadelphia that serve as an alternative to the stuff that is passing as food at McDonald's. As you know, I am working with the MOVE organization to BOYCOTT McDonald's because of the poor quality food they have and the FACT that much of their food can be traced back to the health problems and physical ailments we have as Black and otherwise oppressed people. Such ailments as heart disease, skin rashes, high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, diabetes, and joint ailments are linked to the food we eat that is not good for us. {See Reference to the nutrition article under What Up McDonald's}.....

[But before I get to Black restaurants, I want to talk about Non-White economic unity and cooperation is a new and thriving Philadelphia for a moment. I have to mention Chinese food and one of my New Favorite Chinese Restaurants. There is a controversy about Chinese Restaurants in Philadelphia among Black Radicals and Progressives. We like the food, but don't think the Chinese are interested in helping the Black community become a stable, self-sufficient, thriving, growing, loving, kind and open community as ALL communities should be..... Many Progressive and Radical Blacks, who are part of the backbone of the community, be they usually invisible, feel the Chinese come into our community and take money and offer jobs only to their own people. We never see any of our hard-earned dollars come back for positive Black economic development. It is time for a positive change. As Black Radicals and BLack Progressives, we like the food at the Chinese Restaurants because it is filled with fresh vegetables, little meat and little oil. Often too much salt, but we can ask for less salt. That shouldn't be a problem. The Problem is why can't the Chinese get together with some Black investors to bring major Hotels to Philadelphia that are NOT owned and operated by the White man... This would be a good Way to begin to share economic pie mutually instead of fighting and bickering over who gets what and no body being satisfied. I suggest some Black businessmen come to The Sang Kee Peking Duck House and talk about these things. We will find that some positive actions are forthcoming. The Sang Kee Peking Duck House is Home to many, many great dishes. I just had stir fried Snow Peas with Garlic sauce for a late snack with my night time medicine. This Way I don't eat any cheese, sugar or bread. [I didn't eat any rice with the meal]. It was late like 12 midnight, but this is a light meal that goes through and digest well and doesn't cause one to have nightmares or stay up too late unless one wants to work and study like I do at night. There are many other things to eat at The Sang Kee Peking Duck House at 238 North 9th Street [at The Corner of 9th and Vine in Philadelphia.]. I recently had the steamed vegetarian Dumplings [you get six for $5.95.]. They are very good and do not have a lot of fat for people watching their weight. They are served with a green Dumpling so you know they are vegetarian. I also recently had Kung Po Shrimp with Peanuts for $11.95. This was a great dish and the shrimp were ripe, Well Done, big, zesty and tasty. This dish WAS NOT swimming in a salty sauce like people like myself, who have a high blood pressure problem, like it. There are a number of other dishes that you might like if you come down for a Black business lunch of have to go to Traffic Court around the corner at 9th and Spring Garden Streets. Did you ever wonder why there are so many Black people in Traffic Court.... Don't White people also violate the traffic laws..... Just wondering........Their Chicken Egg Rolls are great and not greasy. They are not so hot that you can't eat them, but served just warm enough so as not to burn your mouth. Scrumptious!! The mixed vegetables with Pan Fried Noodles is also a great dish for $9.50; as is the Seafood Maw Soup, I am told... $$8.95 for two.; also Seafood with With Vegetables And Pan Fried Noodles for $11.50. Eating at Sang Kee will bring your business Good Fortune!!!!!!]

I also ate at 52nd and Chestnut in Philadelphia and I enjoy my breakfast. I had scrambled eggs with peppers and onions with Turkey bacon. My breakfast was only $5 and some change. [Mickey Dee Prices]... What I had was not fattening because I DIDN'T HAVE cheese [one of the worst kept secrets about weight gain is DON'T EAT CHEESE!!!].. I also had some veggies [the peppers and onions] and turkey beacon is MUCH LESS FATTENING than pork beacon. There are nice tables to sit at and the Wait staff was friendly. The food was done in a very short time as well. [This particular restaurant is right across the street from McDonald's, which should be avoided.].

One restaurant I like and that has very good food is Baltimore Crab and Seafood at 4800 Spruce Street {48th and Spruce on the South West Corner in West Philadelphia}. They have VERY GOOD flounder; very good string beans and very good steamed vegetables and fresh salads. They take a few moments longer than some of the other restaurants, but what are we always in such a rush for anyway? Believe me, I hope you will try Baltimore Crab and Seafood. They once gave a donation for a Black party I was having when I was the Block Captain of the 4600 Black of Sansom Street and I have never forgotten them for that. THEY DIDN'T CHARGE US A THING. They are real community supporters and always meet us with a smile. During these hard economic times, we have to really support our Black businesses and this is a good one. Prices for platters range from $24.00 on the high side to $4.50 on the low side. Stop on by and give them a try. You can order ahead of time at: 1.215.472.7040. Open Mon through Thu. from Noon to 11 P.M.; Friday and Saturday from Noon to 12 Midnight; and 2 to 10 P.M. on Sunday.

Sometimes I envision Black families taking more time for themselves and going out for a nice dinner instead of grabbing a bag of burgers and fries at McDonald's. The McDonald's on 40th and Walnut is a great place to avoid. But what you might not know is for heavy eaters, or people who like the buffet, there is a great East Indian place at 38th Street near Chestnut in West Philadelphia. It is called the Sitar Restaurant. Dinner or lunch is under $14 per person. I know exactly what you are going to say—and I’ll quote you. ``For $14 I can get a whole bunch of fillet of fish sandwiches, fries, soda and even a few apple pies. Why on earth should I spend that kind of money on some old East Indian food that I might not like…’’ The fact of the matter is, you deserve a break from eating McDonald's food. As I have said in the past. It is fattening, too salty, loaded with chemicals, greasy, unhealthy, bad for digestion, it can actually upset your chemical balance of vital nutrients, vitamins and minerals and it will help make it hard for you to lose weight in the future. McDonald's, as filmmaker Morgan Spurlock_[``Super-Size Me’’ {2004}] proved by eating only McDonald's foods for a month and turning from a normal healthy young White male into a man with high blood pressure, a liver like ``jelly’’ and having gained several pounds. Don’t miss seeing His film. But I digress. I want this Black family I envision, be they a man and a man, a woman and a man or two Black women [with however many children], to go to Istar Restaurant and try the vegetarian chick peas; the delicious spicy chicken dishes, including of course curry chicken; the salad, the other vegetarian dishes and so on. You will have time to savor each morsel as your mouth takes on every taste from this far-away part of the world that few people from the U.S.—especially Black people—ever get to visit. It is worth your good health to eat better. Better food that is. More and more health professionals are saying that if you really want to have a positive impact on your health maintenance, EAT BETTER FOOD CONSISTENTLY, eat smaller portions, and get plenty of exercise. The two block walk from 40th and Walnut to 38th and Chestnut is worth the walk. You have GOT to try the Mango Juice. [$2.50] It is the perfect mix of tangy, sweet and thirst quenching in one glass. [It sure beats the Hell out of a McDonald's shake..] The visit to Ishtar Restaurant will give you and your family time to sit, talk and savor the food as it slowly digests in a proper manner, instead of quickly eat food that is not suitable for human consumption. [There is another film called ``Food Inc.’’ that depicts the commercialism and Big Business mentality of our nation’s food manufacturing/consumption experts and farmers. How they make such huge profits and why corn now plays such a big role in the production of food in our food consumption system is explored in this film. ] I strongly recommend ISHTAR for a night of enjoyable eating with friends, family or significant others.

As I have said in other articles: Family Variety and Deli at 310 South 52nd Street, is a delicious alternative to McDonald's. Their food is fresh, well prepared and they do NOT sell any pork, which The Nation has been telling us for decades is eroding the health and strength of our community. Family Variety and Deli sells great dinners on Fridays and Saturdays; as well as great sandwiches {You can get rye or wheat bread if you don't want the traditional hogie rolls which are NOT good for health}. I often go to Family Variety and Deli and I find the ladies and gentlemen who work there to be kind, courteous, friendly and helpful. I STRONGLY recommend you support them.

Another Restaurant I visited in Upper Darby is Tim's Roti Shop/Restaurant {Phone} 484-461-3080
They have Jamaican / African cuisine and I had some and it is quite tasty. This place makes a nice divergence from the McDonald's right down the street, which has the same old dried out hamburgers; fattening fish o fillets; and sugary sodas, shakes and greasy fries... What Tim's has is jerk chicken {Nice and spicy and quite good; delicious beans and rice; good fish and veggies without meat in them such as collard greens and cabrich. Enjoy!!! They are available for catering as well.....

It is also important to mention introducing new and exciting books about nutrition and the food industry into you life and thought process; Suggested Reading: ``Pandora's Lunchbox: How Processed food Took Over The American Meal,'' By Melanie Warner [ available used for $16.14 of www.Amazon.com; ]''Cooking The Fat-Free, Salt-Free, Sugar Free, Flavor-Full Way,'' By Marcia Williams, [ available used on www.Amazon.Com for $28.98.]; ``Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us,'' By Michael Moss.; [Available used on www.Amazon.com for $10.95.] [You may also be able to view some of these authors on clips on Democracy Now by going to www.YouTube.Com and entering www.DemocracyNow.org and looking through their film archives. They make a very considerable impact on thinking more positively about food choices.

Changing our system to be more humain and decent. Town Cryer Brother Tracy Gibson.....

Please take 40 minutes to read this important article & send it to at least three BLACK people.

Town Crier Brother Tracy Gibson Expresses His Views on the Fallacy of Western Democracy & Comes Up with a Solution…
By Brother Tracy Gibson,
President, Chief and Founder of
Brother Tracy Gibson& Associates, Incorporated and Our
Five Subsidiaries. [ look under His blog at http://thepoliticsofREAL.blogspot.com for Moore details. ]
My Black People, My Black People. I am sure I am not the only one to come up with this or a similar idea.  [ It is my hope and Prayer that a learned member of our Black community will steer me towards other theorists who have similar more established, and accepted views.
As Black North Americans we have come to radially accept the concept of a two-party system we call democracy.  But the question is, is it really working for the Black majority of people.  Is democracy working for our Black children, is democracy working for our Black poor people, is democracy working for our Black elders [ which I am one], is democracy working for our Black middle class, is democracy working properly for our Black middle income people & our Black [ as I am] Gay, Lesbian & or transgendered people,& is democracy working for Black disabled people [ as I also am.].
What if we slowed down  just a bit& just asked the question & made the statement ``I’m tired of fighting the ``good fight’’ that has lasted from Sojourner Truth & Crispus Attucks, and from Rodney King [ the Black gentleman taxi driver who was  beaten by police in Los Angeles ] to [ current Muslim Leader ] Louis Farrakhan. Why do we have to fight enemies at the ballot box every four years & it seems like when we win the radical right wing still gets to pull our victory apart & make every inch of victory an excruciating sum of more problems more than a true victory.  This see-saw process has torn away at the fabric of true democracy and made a cruel joke out of the democratic process, which NEVER WORKED for Black people very much in the first place.  The Tea Party seems almost to win when we win.  It is like Tea or Iced Tea itself is used in some convoluted & obnoxious way to pull the fuse on our democratic process & our so-called democracy.
Why can’t we pull the plug with them [ our supposed enemies ] & find a system where everyone wins. Can we have a tandem system existing, even intermingling at times & at points, that allows Progressive and even revolutionary democrats to not take ALL in a victory, but maybe even have a separate election on the First Tuesday in November which in 2019 falls on my birthday like it did in 1956 when I was born.
The radical right wing of the Republican Party [ which many white media commentators said would be unable to muster enough votes to ever win a national election after 2008 ], and their supporters like the Ku Klux Klan, the John Birch Society, the Reaganites, the Log Cabin Club, and the Birthers, get what they want & we [ the loyal democrats, the Green Party, the Workers World Party& other such liberal & Radical left strongholds ] get what we want as well.
Perhaps there is a need to publically elect Our Federal Supreme Court& limit their terms in office to 10 years so we don’t have rule of people who are way out of line with either liberals or conservatives for such a long time – sometimes an adult lifetime; outlaw gerrymandering -- no matter who it helps or hurts & come up with clearly defined rules & procedures to draw district lines for elections; outlaw gentrification in our territories so decent people can have decent, stable places to live at a reasonable cost; pay our taxes to the Native Americans instead of war mongers, [ It is my belief that the Native Americans are the true Americans, the true four-fathers & fore-mothers, & more than deserve established leadership credentials , taxation powers & government development authority. ] This Way the environmentalists can really build a clean-water system where we reside & keep the oceans& the air clean without an appointed captain of industry receiving a cabinet positions where regulations for the environment are established.
Native peoples must not be forced to live on a small portion of the very land that was stolen from them by the european. The often arid reservations they live on are too often havens for poverty, poor education, alcoholism, despair and hopelessness for Native Peoples.  As humane, politically conscious Black People we must not let this go on. Doctor Maulana Karenga, the founder of Kwanzaa, once said we as Black People will never receive our Reparations until the Native Americans receive theirs first. We can change our own status by creating self-awarded REPARATIONS, but sometimes we are not focusing on the correct issues.  A large part of this beautiful land must go to People of Red and Black heritage – the Black People and the Native Americans. We all, Black and Red, deserve much of the material wealth that was stolen from Native People just like Black People deserve self-REPARATIONS & government proclaimed REPARATIONS as well. Black People and Native People richly deserve healthy, robust, productive lives in this land or anywhere else we choose to live.
With White-led Republicans stealing votes through various processes including tossing out viable voting registrations; intimidation styled after that which took place during the 1960’s Civil Rights era; outrageous gerrymandering; & out & out stealing elections as they did in 2000, 2004, & 2016 [ after eight years of the Barack Obama Administration], it is no wonder that people are losing faith and confidence in our political and election systems.
Don’t just let the Republicans have it at the polls every four years while they refuse to work cooperatively, with decency, honestly & for the best of most people in the state our country is presently in.  Instead give them what they want, like Texas & Florida for starters, but make sure them getting what they want doesn’t recede us building the great, open, free, ethical, justice-oriented society we want and have been working for since the days of the abolitionists, those early Black people who fought for their freedom, and Native people who fought against the Long Walk and Western settlers.
At this point I must mention that about six months ago I joined the Republican Party. Before you groan and change the channel,  I did it to expose the Grand Ole Party [ GOP ] for its racism & its inherent unfairness in owning & cow-towing to business interests as opposed to authentically opening up the process so access to Financial Capital to all North Americans can be achieved.  North America [ which I call Turtle Island ], needs a fair process that would NEVER allow Black People in Philadelphia, for example, to consist of 43 % of the population, but only own less than 3 % of the businesses [ statistics culled from the Brother Charles Ellison on Reality Check at 4 P.M. Monday through Thursdays on Philadelphia’s WURD 900 AM and 96.1 FM ]. There are inherent biases in our present system that seem immune to voting, protest, demonstrations, pressure from Black politicians, boycotts and even more severe means.  They are NOT immune to our supporting a new self- proclaimed positive Black Capitalism with us as Black People, with security for our places of business in place and our minds hardwired to self-LOVe and the Self- perpetuation of our Black selves and our Black families. If I am not mistaken Brothers Malcolm X, H. Rap Brown and Kwame Ture spoke of these measures several years ago. We have, as Black Grass Roots People, sometimes been fighting for acceptance & LOVe from white people who have more of a record for threating us in a incredibly miserable fashion as opposed to ever showing authentic LOVe. Even when we are foolish enough to marry white.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to work towards a system that authentically lifts all boats by really accessing growth  Capital, sharing space for Black People to own businesses, put a cap on white-owned commercial property development in Black communities, authentically spearheading the development of a public, private& charter system for education that really works according to Black educators and Black teachers from our neighborhoods;& help our Black churches, the Black Nationalists, the Wealthy   Black community,& Black professionals to politically embrace each other while putting our differences  as Black people aside [ Malcolm X]?
The answer is we must open our thinking & work towards such a system instead of fighting enemies on the political battlefield every four years with minimal results as rich people of every hue seem to just get rich from our efforts. [ Why is it that the politicians come through our inner cities and attend our churches at election time and feed money right back into the established media with their ads instead of supporting Black newspapers like PNB, The Sunday Sun, the Philadelphia Tribune, & The Neighborhood Leader, and WURD itself for that matter. ]
The meager results in recent elections with Black voting levels at 12 % or 24 % is showing that Black People have an inherent feeling that something just isn’t working correctly * & voting Republicans out is not really a lasting, effective, consistent, workable, and power-enriching solution.   All that seems to do – voting Republicans out – is get us more Democrats who think their ass IS a hole in the ground as they work almost as diligently as Republicans to dash Black hopes, dreams and Prayers for a decent living and prosperity on these Western shores.
Radio Host Shomari  -- Shomari Show Fridays from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. – on WURD 96.1 FM – Black Philadelphia Talk Radio – has begun to propel us into a new territory & He has met with success. Not exactly what I have proposed here [ read my blog at http://thePoliticsofREAL.Blogspot.com for moore details.]. but if you listen to His program you will see what I’m talkin about.

a kind letter to Jannie Blackwell who deserves a commendation from the CITY OF pHILADELPHIA

Dear Jannie L. Blackwell:
I would first like to thank you for your 26 Plus years of service to the community of West Philadelphia. I look back at your time in office & I see dedication, hard work, team playing, a great attitude, concern for the Black community, a special concern on the issue of Education, a fighter to keep Libraries, public pools & recreation centers open as well as a fighter against the gentrification of Black neighborhoods. Your tireless, High-energy level of work& dedication is renowned throughout the state.
[ Please know that the above statement is written by me --  a registered Republican  --  & in authentic, Real & heart-felt.].
At the same time I know a great deal about work & when it is time to leave work and just sit back & go fishing, relax, & enjoy family & life.
Perhaps I am out of place, but I want you to consider stepping down & retiring from your position as city councilwoman for the 3rd District of Philadelphia. I want you to retire while you are on top of your situation  -- where you have helped hundreds of people, are respected & -- frankly --  LOVed.
We talk endlessly about How we want to help young Black people, and yet your seat, a plum in the political Realm here in Philadelphia, is blocked from their access because you have a powerful political name & are so dedicated.
I would like to be one of the people who work to help you and other concerned West Philadelphians choose a successor for your Council seat.
I know the new council person will lose years of seniority, but West Philadelphia deeply needs Fresh & innovative ideas, a fresh  face & fresh, clean energy.
Part of the reason so Few people vote in Philadelphia is because they are not excited, not motivated, & are tired of the same old story and the same old way of dealing with the same problems.
Technology is being used to re-enslave our people, regardless of skin color. It is about being cast in roles that won’t change even if you have a high level of qualifications, a good attitude, & are willing to work hard.
I remember when your office actually sent out letters & resumes for me to find a job  -- about 20 years ago. Yet, somehow, I feel I have been blocked out of curtain jobs & opportunities because I have challenged the system & have constantly said we can do better.
With all due respect, I want you to step down with all your natural GRACE & DIGNITY intact,& let someone between 23 to 35-years ole take over the 3rd District.
Someone with a high level of education, high level of dedication & a high level of knowhow, skill & a high-level of effective innovative thinking & action-taking.
No matter if you comply or not, you will go down in history as one of the most enchanting & dedicated city workers on ta par with people like Doctor Ethel D. Allen & Thacher Longstreth.
I wish you all the Best in the world, & I hope to hear from you very soon as we work diligently to find new blood to bring dramatic, Pro-Black change to West Philadelphia in an exciting, new Manner.

Skate Boarding with GOD from Brother Tracy Gibson

*****.....   Skate Boarding /  Changing the World / Thinking Of Black People and Our Future First.
By Tracy Gibson
The other day I took a risk and went over the edge – don’t worry, I came back. I was feeling
Edgy after church and I asked God to show me what God   -- Black Jesus
– would do if He was faced with a brick wall and wanted to make a
Major breakthrough. I sat my clothed Black fanny on a long cement slab
That was being used by White skate boarders as a jumping off point. They immediately got
Enraged at the intrusion I was creating. ``The Mayor lets us use this
For skate boarding,’’ one yelled at the top of His lungs. He was a
Heap mad that a Black man would deny Him anything.   Something told me
To sit there for 20 minutes, which I proceeded to do. I was called
Every name under the sun for denying these White boys – some too old
To be skateboarding in my estimation -- for denying these young White
Men the right to fall and break bones. I know, please go with me for
 This journey.
``What an asshole,’’  one of the men said.  They proceeded to
fall down around me and skate around me. After the 20 minutes was
over, I took a seat across from the cement slab and sat there with no
more name-calling from the White gentlemen. A few glairs that would
turn granite into gold bricks, but the name-calling stopped once I
relented and gave public land back to them. I thought for a while and
asked GOD why He wanted me to do this and He said look around at the
Down Town buildings.  They are all just about all owned by White men
and corporations run by White men. Where are the Black-owned
corporations? God asked me. I said I didn’t know of many, but there is
perhaps a Black hotel down town around fourth and Walnut Street.  One
out of about 300 or 400 buildings. Not a very good number, GOD told me.
So, as a Black real estate developer and A Black landlord, you
have effectively been denied land down town for how many generations.
I said about five or six generations or so. Maybe seven.  About 200 years or so.
God said or asked will this situation be changed by my voting on Tuesday
November 8th. Will there be more Black hotels, Black owned big office
buildings; more Black-owned big corporations? He answered His own
question and said that Mrs. Clinton or Mr. Trump will not change this
picture, but will undoubtedly perpetuate the same picture of Down Town
Philadelphia we have seen for the last 200 years – namely continued
White owned department stores; White owned Corporate offices; White
owned grocery stores and so forth. So voting is out? I asked and He
said yes. We can’t vote ourselves out of this situation. Look how the
foolish White man gets all bent out of shape because He is denied a
Cement slab for 20 minutes and yet He is fine with your being denied
space down town for 200 plus years.  The status quo was the 200 years
of White down town domination. The 20 minutes of denying White Boys skating space was revolution.
I told a very politically astute Black elder friend of mine  --
a Black Reverend – that we as Black people can’t vote ourselves out of
the situation we are in in North America (Which I call the United
States of Native America, by the Way).  He is big on voting and was
befuddled. I didn’t elaborate at the time, because GOD hadn’t made
things clear to me at that point.
Now I got you GOD. I don’t care if I’m called names. You really
can’t legislate How people treat you. But you can save money and pool
it with other Black people, form  Black associations, Black institutions, Black schools,
Black businesses, Black  banks, etc. and help other already existing Black
establishments stay afloat. This is a much better Way to expend time
than voting for someone who is perpetuating the same situation over on
us as Black People for the time they will spend eating from the public
troth and making things difficult for us. I have given up on voting
(40 years of wondering in an almost totally Democratic wilderness is
just about enough time for me), but I still see why Black people vote.
Supposedly the vote will help make the development of those Black
establishments either easier of harder. That might be right, but
voting with Black dollars by not going to Macy’s or not going to Target is a
great idea to me.  Asking for or demanding financial concessions as Black people when we get
certain concessions is much more advanced and powerful that voting for
someone who is even Black, but gets financing from the White and Asian
community. What have even Black Democratic candidates done for Black
economic development and for keeping Black men out of jail and for
building, establishing and maintain in the Black school systems we need
for our children and the rest of us. What have Black politicians done to maintain
our other Black institutions? I see them accepting money from Citizen’s Bank, not
asking us to go to the United Bank. The Black politicians are keeping White People in charge of
an alre3ady White run system.  We need a new class of stronger Black, more honest Black politician.
I am one., but on the Down Low for safety reasons.
This is why I’m proposing we as Black people in Philadelphia take
our good dollars and put them into Black banks such as United Bank and
take them out of Citizen’s Bank, Wells Fargo, and TD Bank.        This is
why I’m advocating for Black People to demand a Black Business strip from 52nd
Street at Lancaster Avenue to Baltimore Avenue at 52nd Street be so designated as Africa
Town and de a harbor of Black-only businesses for Philadelphians.
This is Why I insist that we create Black schools and support them for
our Black children and find the money to pay for them by being
thrifty. Why do our Black women need to spend $100.00 a month on their
mostly fake hair when that money is going to Asians? Why do our Black
women need to spend so much money (often $80.00 or more a month) on
fake nails and hundreds of dollars on White – owned perfumes and White
clothing designers? Black women are capable of making their own clothing,
Sisters are capable of doing each other’s nails and teaching each
other’s children until we can have more formal schools and have the
 money to support them.
This is the new revolution.  This is Black L:ives Matter.  I know some of us are too rocked out
on drugs, escapist movies, Black Hollywood, Gansta Rap, and usless sporting events that
don’t put a penny back into our pockets and our Black
community  to know what on earth is really going on at all. But
Brothers need to get on this bandwagon also. What on earth are Brothers
doing spending all afternoon watching football when they need to be
exercising with their wives, children or other significant others?
They need to turn the  idiot box off and talk about Fanon,
Newton, Davis, Derrick Bell,  Martin King, Malcolm X, and other such luminaries because White folk are
thinking about either sending us to another planet or finding earlier
graves than high blood pressure, diabetes, and other heart disease and
poor nutrition we now face can provide.
If you think I’m kidding, there is a statistic I want you to
listen to and do the research for yourself about. If Black male third
graders fail math, they have it set up in some states that a prison
cell is built for them for when they reach early manhood. This is why
when I see Black children, I visually put them into the college seats
in the future. The college seats we often don’t have the nerve to send
our Black children to because we think our Black youth are getting inferior
educations at Black colleges and Black Universities. The nurturing a Black child gets from having Black
teachers and Black friends and good educations at Black colleges far and again
outweighs any high-cost education we get at the Ivy League or the Big
Ten or frankly, even at Harvard. I can tell you this is true. Plus your Black child will
Have a much higher sense of Black community and a much higher sense of dedication
Towards helping His or Her Black People when He or She becomes well off or
Financially stable. Please think on these things and meditate on these things just for a moment
Before you go on to read other matter, because your Black Life matters…….//
