SOME OF OUR BLACK YOUTH ARE EXHIBITING SOME VERY UNDERSIRABLE BEHAVIORS SUCH AS: BEING IRRESPONSIBLE; BEING LAZY MINDED; BEING UNAPPROACHABLE BY LEADERS AND ELDERS IN THE COMMUNITY WHO HAVE THEIR BEST INTERESTS AT HEART AND WANT TO MENTOR THEM; BEING EMOTIONALLY UNREACHABLE BY THEIR PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS AND GUARDIANS; BEING HARD-HEADED; BEING INCAPABLE OF OPENING THEIR MINDS AND THINKING ABOUT LEARNING--REALLY LEARNING FOR A CHANGE ; BEING CLOSED MINDED; BEING STUCK ON THE DOMINATION OF THE MAJOR MEDIA; BEING UNABLE TO LEARN AND CONCENTRATE IN SCHOOL AND EASILY DISTRACTED; AND BEING UNCARING ABOUT THEIR FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS LIVING IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY.
we have a big job as members of the black community to help our black youth take their studies more seriously, respect peers and elders; and be more thrifty while saving money for the future instead of getrting involved in negative things and emotional spending.
It is a job we can ALL take on, even if you, like me, have very little direct interaction with Black youth and have a very busy scheduel....
