a positive message to Europeans

A Positive Message to People of European Descent Who Do The Correct (Not the Right Wing) Thing…….
By Brother Tracy Gibson Of Philadelphia & Delaware

To ALL People who are of European ancestry and had the courage, this political season, to vote for Barack Obama, I want to say—THANK YOU!!! And I mean that in a big way. Things are bad economically right now in this land called North America. The dollar is falling in value, the housing market is unstable, auto workers are being laid off, the skyrocketing cost of fuel oil and gas has caused EVERYTHING to increase in price—far out pacing increases in income and wages. America is a ship on its’ way to disaster—unless things change and thinking changes. There is only one major candidate who has a strong enough stand in his record to continue to take the correct path to steer us away from the clear and present dangers of what might face us. That candidate is Senator Barack Obama of Illinois. Many, many Whites in the states of Delaware, North Carolina, Oregon, Mississippi, Iowa, Virginia, Wyoming, Texas, Pennsylvania, California, New York, Florida, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Nevada, Utah & Colorado gave Senator Obama their votes. No, he did NOT win all those states, but thousands of White people saw a way to support him. There is a long tradition of people of European descent and Jewish people helping Black people and being able to see that the rights guaranteed White Americans are not necessarily placed at the feet of Black Americans. From the old abolitionists of the 1700’s and early 1800’s on through the Civil War and the Civil Rights movement and on until today there have been writers, activists and politicians, housewives, home-makers and handymen who have crossed the line and not only campaigned or worked in the Black community, but have given back needed dollars to help Black progressive causes and candidates. There is the likes of John Brown who is know for attempting a slave revolt in 1859 at Harper’s Ferry, Virginia. He largely went down to defeat and was hung because he couldn’t get many Blacks to join him. There are few Whites who will make that kind of sacrifice. But there are people like Ramsey Clark, Jane Fonda, many of the Kennedys, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and even some personal friends of mine such as John S., the Piettes (Joe & Betsey) and Aaron L. of the Philadelphia area who happen to be White and have dedicated their lives to helping Blacks and fight against racism, poverty and oppression. Such people, around the world, are fighting for a host of humanitarian causes. Often Black Nationalists say such people are very few and far between, but there is a growing number of people of European descent who will not just give to the United Negro College Fund, and the NAACP, but also vote for Black candidates, advocate against racism and give to more progressive organizations and causes. There numbers are slowly growing. Some people, like the governor of Pennsylvania, Ed Rendell, said there were not enough Whites to make the difference for our Brother Barack. I think there are, certainly not a majority of Whites, but I know the number can grow if we recognize those who has had the courage and audacity to hope, to grow with us and to support us in our quest towards full human status in North America and the rest of the world. .. By saying it won’t happen, it continues NOT to happen. By recognizing that it has—in Georgia, Tennessee, Delaware, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio and Colorado—it can continue to happen in the future.

We have seen what the Clintons have done. (Write me at BrotherTracy11@GMail.Com and I will send you an interesting article about them.) We need a fresh start and we need someone who is NOT tied to ALL the corrupting influences of the established order. Barack is NOT perfect, but he IS trying to give our Nation a fresh start and bring some badly needed ethics into the political spectrum of North America. His Republican opponent will wrap himself in the American flag and whip up phony patriotism to try to make it past the November finish line ahead of his Democratic challenger. I am praying that North Americans won’t be fooled by that again as they were back in 2000 and 2004. (I hope you will read the article on Patriotism on this web page—[www.btganda.com] or write me for a copy.) There was a White person who helped me buy my first home who was also a personal friend of my father’s and I was trained in politics by people from a multitude of races—including Whites. It will take ALL of us to win in the FALL election. But first we must look deep inside and ask: Why can’t the North America Dr. King dreamed of and that so many have fought for become a reality? There is NO REASON why we can’t live in a world that is peaceful and oriented toward real JUSTICE instead of so much greed, suffering and pain. A world where people don’t have to be exploited by Big Oil companies like Exxon because such companies are simply driven by (excluded) in favor of companies like Citgo which gives back to poor and disenfranchised people. It should not only be fashionable to NOT shop at Wal-Mart, (because of some of their harsh and anti-people, anti-family policies) but why not choose Target which gives back to people-oriented social programs that help those of us most in need. To get back on the subject, I again thank ALL people of European descent who have taken the time to really study the issues and have seen that their best interest is tied to voting for Barack. GOD Bless you!!

A Dear John Letter...

RE: Investing in A Community Based, Self-Help, For Profit Company in the West Philadelphia area.
``We are Dedicated to helping Black Youth Find a More Positive Way’’

TO: Brother Stevie Wonder, Sister Alicia Keys, and Brother John Legend…
From:  Brother Tracy Gibson, Owner Operator and Founder of Brother Tracy Gibson and Associates, Inc. / and Founder and President of:  The Black Millionaire’s Network…
Dear Good Friends and Fellow Dedicated to the Advent of Our Black Youth into many Positive Tomorrows…

I have been touting many ideas about how to help our Black youth become less destructive and self deprecating, and more productive and helpful to their communities, themselves, each other and to the country at large. I want to tell you about three components of the ideas I have been working on: 1) The Knowledge Hut Stores is designed to be a store that doesn’t just throw products at our young people and wait to see what they buy.  Instead we will offer items from a selected pool of products that have been specially designated to help young people grow and develop into productive, responsible, reliable, law-abiding and wise North American Black citizens.  We will offer: Tee-Shirts with progressive sayings on them and progressive, often Afro-Centric images; CD’s and DVD’s with music that is conductive to creating better values in our youth {not promoting bad language, the victimization of women, promoting crime and the thug life and, or homophobia, bullying et,}; DVD’S {entertainment and educational}  in a similar order that promote acceptance of the diversity in our communities and good values concerning education, decency, family, and trust; Greeting cards with funny, inspirational and positive sayings eventually to be written by the young people themselves; Books that teach better substantial values, our history, our purpose, how to respect each other and that will help develop good business ethics.  Other products such as healthy food snacks will also be for sale.  Eventually we want to produce many of the products in our own factory right in West, South West or North Philadelphia and have many youth who don’t want to attend college on a full-time basis, work at our factories at good pay, with benefits.  {We have projected that our products-Tee-Shirts for example—may well have to sell at $50. Each to make up for the cost of decent wages, benefits and so forth, but the shirts will also be a fund–raising device to pay for future corporate investment.  2) The second component of our corporation is the two books I have been working on getting published.  The First one is entitled ``A Grass-Roots Criteria for Liberation.’’  It is some 650 pages long and is dedicated to building better values in our youth through the telling of my own personal story and offering political vignettes, commentary, history, Celebrity Profiles, reviews of artistic events and so forth. 3) A Full-Fledged National security firm aimed at protecting and defending the new and existing infrastructure we will be building and developing as our economic movement takes hold. We will be hiring Brothers and Sisters coming out of the military and various police departments to take part as managers and employees at good pay and with benefits.  Considering what happened to the Black Wall Street in the 1920’s,---a military, government sanctioned attack on our vital interests in Tulsa Oklahoma which left some 300 Black people dead and our Hotels, Stores, Restaurants and so forth, burned to the grown because they were left defenseless—we will need to defend our investments and our people.   I have included my executive Summary which talks about the funds needed for the ``Knowledge Hut Stores’’ alone.

We hope you can help with some seed money {Say $20,000.} for these on-going efforts.  As you can see from my resume, I am hard-working, dedicated and committed to the cause of our Black youth pulling ahead and making something very, very positive of theme selves.  I hope to hear from you soon.  Our Corporate EIN Number is 27-0145705. We were incorporated in December of 2006 in Philadelphia under the banner of (Brother Tracy Gibson and Associates, INC.}

Where Are Black HouseHold Funds Going? Check Dis Out!!!

An Open Letter To The Black Community…

RE: Where Did All the Money Go?

By Brother Tracy Gibson…..

Have you as a Black Parent ever wondered where all the household funds are going? Do you often have the sinking feeling that your children are just there to act as a vacuum cleaner [s] for Five Dollar Bills and One Dollar Bills?

This short article is designed to let you know where some of the money you give your children goes ad how it is spent.  If you read onward, you will also learn how to stem some of the flow of money and turn that might financial river around and put some of those dollars back into the household and back into your pocket.

If you are a typical Low to Middle-income household in the inner city—Black family with either 2.3 children and either one parent, two parents or a guardian watching the children such as a grandparent—the children probably goes to the corner store or the neighborhood store about two or three times a week.

The typical things they might buy will include: A 16 Oz. Pepsi  soda [$1.50.]; Herrs BBQ Potato Chips [Large Bag for $4.29 each]; A cheese and turkey Hoagie—[$7.49 each]; three cream-filled cupcakes from Tasty cake or Drake [one pack of 3 is $1.69]; A small bag of powered-sugar donuts  [$4.78 a bag]; Tasty Cake Pie [$1.]on special.

That sounds like a lot of food for one setting, but taken over a week, a month, or a year and you get to relate to just how much this food, often called junk food, is costing the average American Black Family. If you have two or three children you can multiply some of these amounts by two or three [I will do this for you.]

An average male or female in the 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade has plenty of money for snacks before and especially after school.  [Now some of that money they get hold of themselves and make it honestly at a job or by doing work around the house and getting an allowance. This is where the family discussion of good and proper values comes in.  One value we all need to teach our children, nieces, nephews, young cousins and grandchildren, etc., is NOT to eat so much junk food!!!  But we need to come to them with facts and statistics about high blood pressure when they get older; about heart ailments when they get older; and about obesity they may be dealing with right now or when they get a bit older.  This is crucial and we have to explain to our young ones the importance of listening.  We also need to take the time to listen to them as well and write a hand written or typed letter to our pastors about good and better foods and nutrition and how we think our churches can help in this process.  This is important and can be worked into the day late at night before you go to bed or really early in the morning before you go to work.  If you don’t think this is important, just read some of the facts and figures on nutrition in the Black community and you will see what I’m talking about.

``On the Flip side, fat in the midsection is usually quite responsive to diet and exercise, and losing weight reverses the health risks,’’ from Ebony Magazine, January 1990.

I have literally seen at least one youngster with a $50. Bill and I have seen plenty of $20. Bills; $10. Bills and $5. Bills. A typical male or female child or youth might buy a hoagie, two bags of chips, or one large bag, and a soda at least twice a week. Each trip to the corner store for those three items Will cost about $13.28!!  Twice a week, That’s $26,56 a week. Over a month That’s $106.24 if your child goes and gets those items… Twice a week for a month, over a year time that’s $1,274.88—One Thousand, Two Hundred and Seventy Four Dollars and Eighty Eight cents a year!!  That is just for one child or youth over one year.  [If You have two children or young people around the house, that’s  $2,549.76.]

Money shortages in Poor or even Middle-income Black households is at the apex of the reasons for arguments, conflicts and disagreements between parents, guardians and grandparents and children, teen or young adults.  There just never seems to be enough money, especially during the hard times of high unemployment and the flood of foreign-made goods [including large and expensive items such as cars] coming into the U.S. economy that we are currently faced with.

Many heads of Poor Black Families think if they could just win the lottery or get that windfall or make a big gain in some other way, such as a stock option, they would really be living the high life. Everything would be fine.

But the control is actually in the parents and the children’s hands each week or every other week or every month when the get paid and the money comes in.

The Parent—with a little knowledge and community or church education—can make some badly-needed change that can have a significant, lasting, and positive impact on Black families and eventually whole Black Communities!!!

If a parent; grandparent or guardian sits down with the children He or She has responsibility for the parent can take the positive opportunity to take Positive action and change the situation.  Parents can put the fattening hoagies, chips and sodas down and make other choices. Such foods as sodas, cakes and hoagies are not healthy at all and have real and present links to diabetes, obesity heart disease and high blood pressure.  They contain a high level of unhealthy saturated fat, salt, sugar and corn syrup—all foods and chemicals linked to health difficulties. Coupled with a sedentary lifestyle and a lack of positive physical activity such as exercise, this becomes a great danger to our Black Families.

A grandparent, Mom or Dad can help the child or youngster by instructing them to take slices of cucumber, celery, radishes and carrots to school in a plastic container.  The child can take a small container of hummus or Balsamic vinegar to school with the fresh vegetables and have a really healthy snack instead of all that fat, salt and sugar that can threaten life lines, especially later in life. The child can take a bottle of Spring Water pre-bought from the super market or just cool tap water.  This will save more than half that $1,274.99 a year!! Add lottery tickets to this equation and you can see why Black People don’t have any money to invest in the items our children really need such as real educations; decent food; educational videos and educational books; and positive-message Tee-Shirts that will help change His or Her Brother’s and Sister’s outlook when they pass by. GOD Bless you…..

Bringing African and Chinese Children Togther for a Week of Peace.....

January 22, 2014 Wednesday; United States Time.

To: The People of China and Children of China; People of Africa and Children of Africa; and The First Lady of the United States, Mrs. Michelle Obama and Her Daughters; the International media; The People of the United States and Our children.

From: Peaceful Human Rights Organizer Brother Tracy Gibson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

RE: An Idea to Bring People and children together.

Comments: I have heard rumors that the People of Africa and the People of China are having some difficulties getting along with some people feeling used or exploited and some people feeling taken advantage of and some people not having a good feeling of sharing. I have an idea that will help. It is always a good thing to bring children together when such difficulties occur to help the process smooth itself out and make feeling heal and get better. [By the Way, my ancestor, Cousin Marie Nelson is the One who told me about this, so I don’t get full credit.].

More Comments: The idea is to have a physical cultural exchange between the people of China and the many, many African countries on the Continent of Africa. I was thinking, with Marie’s help, that we should ask the people of China to have their many children make something like bicycles, a blanket or a little bowl of food—to be shared with the people of the African continent.  In return the Africans could supervise their children making something like a piece of pottery, a blanket or head ornament for the People of China and the Children of China.  NO MONEY WOULD HAVE TO BE EXCHANGED OR CHANGE HANDS!!

More Comments: This could bring the children together for a peaceful activity while they are thinking about some people far, far away who they never met—but children like themselves.  It would be a cultural exchange and something positive to help relations between China and many African nations that would be taking place.

More Comments: The First Lady of the United States would be a great person to make sure this happens in a peaceful and positive Way and help pictures of the children in the activity of making the exchange gifts go across the world to create peace, understanding and good will for all people taking part and all of womankind, mankind and childrenkind to share in.

More Comments: I hope you like my idea and Marie’s idea. It is offered free of charge and with an open and happy heart so that adults and children can work on something that helps encourage good will, happiness and peace.

Many Blessings, and Much Peace,

Gun Violence is NOT Good For A Progressive Nation!!!!!

We Have Become Numb: There is so Much Violence in America…

By Brother Tracy Gibson...

We have all become numb to death, murder, rape, violence--the frequency of blood letting in North America. We often have the TV on as we eat dinner. We listen to and watch the violence on local and national news reports at dinner time. As we chew our collard greens--pass the Turkey Pot Roast please oh, and the mashed yam potatoes--we are bound to hear of any number of murders, rapes and serious beatings in North America. We continue eating as if we were at MacDonald's. This numbness is dangerous. We should all be deeply concerned about the raising tide of violence in our inner cities such as that being perpetrated against Black youth (Especially male) in Chicago. And we should all be equally concerned about the proliferation of illegal hand guns throughout the country. It is the hand guns that are killing people in inner cities, yet there is only talk about stopping assault weapons. WE NEED ACTION ON HAND GUNS!!!

When four White police officers were shot dead in a suburban coffee shop a while back outside of Tacoma, Washington, I was shocked I wanted to write about the terrible event. According to TV reports, all four of the officers had children and were married. One was a woman and they were all under 42 years of age—In what should have been the prime of their lives. The slain officers were: Tina Griswold, 40; Ronald Owens, 37; Sgt. Mark Renninger, 39; and Greg Richards, 42—According to reports in the New York Times. (Reported in a story in the New York Times from November 30, 2009 by William Yardley).

Within a week the culprit had been cornered and shot dead in a shoot out with officers, while the officers were all White and the alleged perpetrator Black, this sad event did not quell into a full blown race riot or racial incident. This may have been the only silver lining surrounding the terrible event. I am an outspoken opponent of police brutality, the abuse and profiling of Black male youth and Police corruption, BUT I DO NOT CONDONE THE WILLY, NILLY KILLING OF POLICE OFFICERS!!!

It was a case of four senseless, brutal and outrageous murders carried out by Maurice Clemmons, 37, according to NYT reports. Mr. Clemmons apparently had a history of raping and least one child and committing a host of other crimes, but was released by then Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who commuted his long prison sentence.

Reports said Clemmons was a career criminal.

This kind and character of news event is taken in almost every month as we consume our evening meal. We rarely blink an eye or seem to care about the victims; the devastating impact such crimes have on the families of the deceased. The children of those officers now will be raised by one parent and other family members just because someone decided to shoot and kill their mother or father.

What goes through the head of people who use guns to shoot, injure and kill other people for no good or Godly reason? Don’t they realize and understand that it took a million years of development--evolution from Our Egyptian and Ethiopian Fathers and Mothers--to bring that person [that one person]—who they so senselessly and ruthlessly killed—onto this planet and into this reality as a thinking, functioning, contributing, working vital human being? I don’t care if the officers here were White or with green and white pokadotts, this is about humanity, decency and doing what Spike Lee called ``The Right Thing.’’ Cold blooded, out right murder is NOT the right thing, under any circumstances... Mr. Clemmons must have had a troubled; tumultuous childhood—but that doesn’t excuse his behavior. He should have never been released in the first place. Huckabee, a presidential candidate in 2008 reportedly said Mr. Clemmons was only 16 when he was sentenced and he (Huckabee) could not keep him in the prison system all his life after he had committed his early crimes at such a young age. When Huckabee commuted Clemmon’s sentence there were protests by Arkansas prosecutors. And rightly so. I for one, as a Black Gay man, feel totally guilty about a Black man having killed those officers. Some might want to call me an Uncle Thomas or a fool for caring about police, but you can go right ahead and call me that. I LOVe all people and I give us all a chance. But that Brother, Mr. Clemmons, was dead wrong. Would He have been as dangerous is He had had a job... Would He have been as dangerous if He had had some economic opportunities... We may never know, but that is a good possibility.... He certainly needs mental treatment and I am against the death penalty, even for Mr. Clemmons... Nothing will bring back those officers and the guilt feelings I have as a Black Gay man because the Brother was a Brother will linger for years in the back of my mind. We as Black people should NEVER be bellicose in our thinking about life--even White conservative life or the life of police officers of ANY colour.

But the open proliferation of guns is also part of the problem of the rising violence. If you have a few extra dollars, guns are very easy to acquire in North America—with or without a gun license. Why do 2nd Amendment Rights protect people who want to buy as many as 20 guns a day? When is enough fire power enough? Since when does it take a sub machine gun or other new-tech automatic weaponry to go hunting for dear or buffalo?

Moreover, we also quickly forget about little Black children like Thomas Childs who was gunned down a few years ago in Philadelphia when he got caught in the cross fire between drug dealers. Thomas Childs’ life was just as worth while and vital as the lives of those officers. He didn’t even make it to 42 or even 20. Yet the media attention to the killings in Washington State received a lot more ink and attention...

Police officers came from hundreds of miles to say goodbye to the fallen officers—and rightly so. But one thing’s for sure I’m tired and I know you are tired of saying goodbye to anyone who was killed in senseless gun violence.

But we all have to be more alert about possible violence, speak out against it and read some of the information on Web Pages such as www.Bradycampaign.org (This is a web page and activism site dedicated to promoting reasonable gun laws for our country and detailing much needed information about the gun lobby, anti-gun legislation and so forth). WE MUST learn the latest about what we as U.S. Citizens can do to stem the tide of violence against other innocent U.S. Citizens due to senseless gun violence...
