Dear Ms. Maddow:

I was watching your program on MSNBC the other day, as I am so prone to do, and I discovered that while your program is very well researched, accurate and often points out the faults of the Republican Party—of which there are many—there is one thing you seem to have forgetting or have overlooked about the current strife in the Middle East. According to Wikipedia: ``The 1953 Iranian coup d’état {Known in Iran as the 28 Mordad Coup} was the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Iran Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh on August 19th, 1953.’’

If I am not mistaken there was almost NO Islamic fundamentalism in Iran or just about anywhere else in the so-called Middle East until this fateful event which even former Secretary Of State for the U.S., Madeline Albright said was a ``Big Mistake.’’ The Iranian People have NEVER forgiven the United States {And I believe England was also involved} for this historical atrocity and this one incident can be traced back to much of the strife in Iran and much of the rest of the Middle East including the hostage taking during the Carter Administration and many of the bombings and so forth. I don’t think Our Government wants to admit this and they keep shelving referendums in the United Nation that would require Our Nation to own up to this life changing event that effected the Iranian People very harshly and disproportionately. This is why they hate us so Throughout the world. The U.S., Russia and China, as leaders of the Security Council in the U.N., are able to table any so-called disruptive votes from small nations like Iran. This makes me wonder whose security is really being counseled at the U.N. This is also why there is a move afoot among some other non-allied nations to start another organized, international diplomatic core to represent ALL NATIONs Fairly, because way too much is being stuffed under the rug at the United Nations.

Peace and Blessings,

Brother Tracy Gibson…
