A Current Overview of the Porn Industry.....ADULT MATERIAL {Updated}

An Over View of the Porn Industry In the United States…..

By Brother Tracy Gibson.......

By some estimations, 85 % of what goes on, on the Internet has to do with pornography. It is a vast world of executives, mob figures, money, police, web sites, prostitutes, film making and prosecutors {who often look the other way}, models, ``actors’’ and the everyday citizens like you and me, who support the porn system with our hard-earned dollars. By the way, back in the 1980’s they were saying that pornography was responsible for more gross receipts {If I may use a pun} than all three networks combined. That’s several billion dollars. The amount of profits from pornography has only grown over the last 40 years.

The section of the porn industry loosely {If I may use a pun again} called ``Gay porn’’ is one of the fastest growing and most lucrative. The funny thing is, they are selling ``Gay Porn’’ in little townships and villages in the rural south as well as in Big Cities like New York's Manhattan, Harlem and Philadelphia. That’s right, even the so-called Bible-Belt is into pornography, although you would never know it from their consistent Conservative ``RED STATE’’ status and outwardly conservative social underpinnings reflected about the Bible-Belt in the Main Stream White Goliath media...

Within the ``Gay Porn’’ industry there exists a sub gerund called ``Black Gay Porn,’’ a sub gerund, but a very viable and lucrative one. Millions of people across the U.S., not only Black Gay males, are interested in buying and enjoying Black Gay pornography. Thus, as you might imagine, this sub-gerund is also lucrative and features many, many of the Big Black names in porn with porn stars such as: ``The little Israeli Boy,'' ``Mr. Buck,'' ``Black Ice,'' ``DyLLan,'' ``Sir Cream,' ``Supreme / Castro,’’ ``Maze,'' ``Vivid,'' ``Nubia,’’ ``KB, {Who I adore}'' ``T-Malone, {Fantastic Ass}’’ ``Ocean,'' ``Jovonnie, {A Bottom and a Top with skills in both areas}'' ``Osian, {I have NEVER seen a man who loves to take it in the Butt Like this Man does}'' ``Shaft,’’ ``Redd,’’ ``Shawn Legend,’’ ``Bronz Star,’’ ``Sho-Nuff, {Very Handsome, Very Skilled}’’ ``Black Ice,'' ``Altrique,'' ``Rudy Scott,{This Brother is a Bit harsh, Butt He sure is Sexy}'' ``Maze,'' and ``Vivid,'' '' just to name a few.

These Black Men are out to make a living. They take their clothing off whereas we put clothing on to go to work and make a living. One could say an honest year's pay is an honest year's pay, regardless if one is putting clothing on like a nice dress suite for women or a nice Brooks Brothers suite for men--it is still striving to make ends meet in a world with a shaky economy in many western Nations like the U.S.. Work is Work...

{I for One, DON'T Condone pornography nor do I think it should be condoned by our government.  I also don't think prostitution should be legalized like it is in Las Vegas.  Legalizing prostitution is just another avenue for Big Business to get off the hook for creating the legitimate jobs that People really need.  It also helps allow our other institutions such as schools, institutions of Higher Education and various arms of the government to allow ``certain sectors'' of our population to go unskilled and not even thought of as a legitimate entity as long as they are flaming the prurient interests of the rest of us, including the rich and powerful--who definitely get their fill of pornography and prostitution.}

When we buy pornography, and I have quite a collection myself, we further legitimize the industry--even though it continues to be an underground industry with mysterious financing, shady figures and characters, connections to organized crime, and a lot--a whole lot of money and profits. One thing I do, to justify my sanctified soul and my strong positive spiritual sense, is to advocate for better treatment and pay for the BLACK Porn stars and advocate for a section of pornography films that are equally instructional as they are also for just sexual titillation. I want to see films made that teach about safe sex in an open, legitimate and ongoing way so the people who watch pornography {or sexually explicit films} can emulate them by only taking on safe-sex behaviors. This I feel Will help save lives as people replicate behaviors that are safe instead of some of the behaviors that are presently featured in porn that are unsafe. I also want to see safe sex {such as always using condoms} and less liberal sharing of body fluids in the general public and one Way to get there is to press for these conditions as an Advocate who is disconcerned about the Porn industry.... There are many Black Gay porn films where they never think of putting on a condom and where body fluids flow freely. I never buy them and have spoken out in letters to the Center for Disease Control and the Federal Health and Human Services Department. If you are going to enjoy pornography and you are a so-called ``Christian'' it seems to me that this is the correct thing to do. Let's face it, NOT using and enjoying pornography for the average Black Gay man is like asking a Catholic woman NOT to use birth control. {Yeah, sure right, I don't think so!!!--Is the obvious response to such a request from the Catholic Church or whoever…} The reality is that this is the 21st Century and times are changing and have changed drastically from the 1950's when there was very little venereal disease and nothing at all called AIDS and HIV… People, back in those days, were scandalized by even the thought of getting an STD and there were no health clinics to go get a shot. You had to visit your family doctor in shame, and if you were young, your Mom or Dad had better NOT find out about it. You would probably get a spanking and be very ashamed of yourself if you were a teen in such a situation…

It is time we stopped looking at the porn industry and the porn actors as a bunch of dirty, thither, NASTY people and realized that most of the stars at least are just out to make money and the only thing they know to make money from is their bodies and using them in porn films…. That goes for men, women and transgendered people also. Most of them will never be rich because they are exploited and taken advantage of economically. {There are a few exceptions to this rule. One of them is Tiger Tyson, who is a Porn Star who has His own production company and must make upwards of $6 Million Dollars a year...} If many Porn stars had the skills and opportunities to make something better of themselves than Porn Stars they would probably do so. I know this is true. The industry itself, the Porn Industry, has connections to legitimate media in many, many ways. Some of the same businessmen who own the Big named media like CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, MSNBC, TNT, TBS, PBS, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, The Los Angeles Times and even The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Philadelphia Daily News, also have connections to the profit making system within the Porn Industry--so we ALL need to stop looking down our noses at the Porn Industry and help it clean itself up from some of the more unsavory and seamier aspects of itself. This Way people who watch Porn will stop or lessen their emulation of what they see so much of in Porn such as carrying on very unhealthy sexual behaviors like NOT USING CONDOMS AND ACTIVELY AND OPENLY SHARING BODY FLUIDS... This is very important and needs to happen right away, like RIGHT NOW!!

To make another point, the racism and sexually abusive behaviors in Porn material is ramped.  I was watching one video [The Show, Part One and The Show Part 2] where, at the opening of the film people are coming through the front door to be greeted at a large, expensive mansion.  One Black men is asked ``You Don't you have a gun on You DO You?,'' ``or are you carrying a knife,'' while the White gentleman is told ``Oh, A White Guy,'' with great enthusiasm and mirth.  That says it all. Whiteness is celebrated and Blackness is chastised even in the Porn Industry... Also one Black gentleman, in a sex contest, chooses a Black person for what is call his winning fuck at the end of the film.  The narrator says he ``brutally pounded'' the other Brother.  I can just imagine that if He [The Brother] would have chosen a White Boy for is winner's fuck, the narrator would have said ``they really seem to be enjoying each other.'' Interesting semantics...

Of course, one could argue there are more pornographic aspects of ``Jersey Shore'' on MTV than there is on regular Porn flicks.  At least the Porn flicks, some of them at least, don't feature people overtly physically fighting and REALLY being straight-forward and overt in their verbal and physical abuse and violence like they do on the delectable ``Jersey Shore.''  With some of the newer Porn I have seen ads for {But I would NEVER buy} they do feature more overt sexual acts which are overtly abusive and include men having sex with other men without using condoms and actually eating and consuming male body fluids.  There is a real need, in my estimation, for much more concern and regulation of the Porn Industry on the part of the federal government...

There is one porn star named Tiger Tyson who is featured in many Black Gay Porn movies. One thing I can say for Tiger is that he always wears condoms. That is about all I have to say good about him. Otherwise, he is very abusive to the people he has sex with.  {There is even a scene in ``Bottom's Up'' where he is abusive to T-Malone as if He [Tiger] were an abusive prison guard or cop.} They are mostly Black men and Tiger is Puerto RIcan {Which is a mix of White, Black and Native}... I have heard rumors that Tiger is actually straight with a wife and children. I noticed that He never treats any of His sexual partners with much tenderness, always slapping them on the ass and NEVER really kissing or caressing them}...

I personally find Tiger's behavior very reprehensible, pugnacious and egocentric.  I really find His character a negative one.

Those of us who look at Pornography and support that industry--and there is a strong river of support of the Porn industry Running through the Christian and Religious or Spiritual community--We need to come clean and let our friends and family--but not ouR children under the ages of 15--know what we are doing.  The honesty will be refreshing and helpful with you becoming more honest with yourself on many fronts and levels.  Apply youR stRong religious values to your obsession with sex and know that GOD, The Creator and ouR African AncestoRs, still LOVe you and LOVe us. Just keep it cool and try, for now, not to be obsessive, but accept yourself and LOVe yourself and GOD, by ALL means. Don't feel judged from above. For in reality GOD is in ALL of us, and is a part of ALL our lives.  It is just a matter of how far you have evolved spiritually.  If PastoRs, Reverends and other church elders and leaders are judging you, know they need to do what Michael Jackson said to do several years before His untimely death--and look at the Man [or woman] in the mirror.

The Important aspect, I believe, is to bring integrity to the industry.

``Because I write many columns and blog posts for a variety of companies and media organizations, I use search-engine tools to alert me if anyone is picking up and using my material. Some people have literally copied my writing and presented it as their own, even though this is an obvious copyright infringement. There are both civil and criminal penalties for copyright violations, and the severity of the penalties depends on the situation.''...
