Great Results!!

Great New Beginnings / Great Expectations / Grand Opportunities!!!

An Open letter

Dear Concerned Americans, Friends, Fellow Actvists and Fellow Visionaries:

I am a heavy thinker and a real idea man. (You can find a resume on this BLOG as Well.). I have lots of ideas, but implementing those ideas has proven to be a rather difficult thing, although I have made some headway in recent weeks and months... I was referred to you by The Real Temple University Small Business Development Center. I am hopeful that you can help me by finding others with similar ideas and funding for some of these ideas... I have contacted a grant-writing and grant processing company for assistance also as well as other professionals. (I may be partnering with a man I know who has professional Marketing experience in the near future, as well as realtors, and people with solid business experience. ). I have written far and wide for help and assistance with generating Capital for my business ideas and for my Church’s Building Fund…. These are some of the projects I’m working on as we speak. I am seeking assistance for the development and implementation of these ideas. Eventually ALL assistance positions will be paid positions as more funding allows… I am more than willing to take a 30% share in the profits and allow my investors to take 70 %.

1) A major BLOCKBUSTER publication in the works called ``A Grass-Roots Criteria for Liberation--Writing in Wet Cement,''  By Brother Tracy Gibson due out in February of 2013. I need editing help, a mentor and funding for the publication of the project. The book is geared towards helping Black youth (especially Males, but not only) become less or a burden on the American system and more independent, reliable, responsible, informed, knowledgeable, respectable and ready for the world. It will also help other members of the Black community reach their goals and achieve, achieve, achieve… We expect this book, whenever it comes out, to be as popular and ground breaking as ``Man Child in the Promised Land’’ by Claude Brown was in the 1970’s. Investment needed: About $14,000.00. (We will be holding a fund raiser tentatively scheduled for Saturday, October 23, 2010. The Funds will also go to N’COBRA, the Black Organization working for REPARATIONS for Black Folk).

2) The Coalition to Find Sane, Lasting & Peaceful Solutions for the Middle East. This is a Non-Profit Organization I have started that brings together African Americans, Africans, progressive thinking people of European decent, Latinos, Asians, Arabs and others who want to bring new light & positive social pressure to the many- faceted issues facing the Middle East…. We want to bring in ideas and concepts to deal with the issues that the politicians & the media have either overlooked or feel are too controversial to deal with. We want to bring in more people than just academicians, political pun dents and power players so the people at the grass roots level can have a constructive and forward-moving outlook on the many volatile issues pertaining to the Middle East questions and how to resolve them in a peaceful, non-violent manner as quickly and as fairly as possible. The less fanfare the better. We want to have a direct impact on U.S. policy making and on how other countries and the world view the Middle East crisis. We want people to view it as a challenge to the world’s peace-loving people not as a frightening end-of-the-world scenario that remains out of control and totally unresolvable…. Investment Needed: $7,000.00.

3) We have a Positive Plan for Black Youth that will help bring about peace on city streets throughout the United States; less imprisonment of our Black youth; more jobs for Black youth; and an emphasis on their staying in school and possibly going on to college, university and or trade school, technical collages and or graduate school; a component to help them become constructive American citizens even if they choose not to go to school; and less teen pregnancy & parenting; STD’s; less illegal drug use; less illegal drug trafficking; and other behaviors that are ripping and tearing away at the seams of the Black community nationally. There is also a need for constructive things to do instead of get into trouble during after school hours before parents get home. There is a desperate need for new and innovative ways of thinking on this subject—not just the building of more prisons and tracking our Black youth into the ``special’’ education designation and detention centers. We have some ideas we would like to share with others and get funded so we can begin helping Black youths in the Delaware, New Jersey and Philadelphia area as soon as possible!! Investment Needed: $10,000.00.

4) Proposal to help Brothers and Sisters in the Prison System. We have several components to our Prison-Industrial Complex alternative plans. (Please write us if you would like a copy of the formal proposal). They include taking a hard look at the sexual and physical abuse that goes on in the U.S. prison system and putting an end to it as soon as possible. When people commit a crime they should do the time, not be raped and abused—no matter what that crime was. We are against the Death Penalty and want the politicians and media pun dents to understand the root causes behind criminal behavior in the U.S. including: negative media portrayals of African and African American citizens; unemployment; lack of relevant & ethnically sensitive educational experiences for Black and Brown people in the school systems and in academia; lack of physical education, sports the arts, and health classes in the public school system; continued poverty; lack of ethical teaching in the class room and strong positive values[both religious and non-religious]; a lack of disrespect for elders; lack of mentoring programs; and too much emphasis in the news media on killing, murder and military solutions to ALL questions and problems. Investment Needed: $25,000.00.

5) I also have a multi-national corporation funded to deal with these and other issues to generate my own income to fund these projects. I started a Marketing, Community Relations and Public Relations firm (Brother Tracy Gibson & Associates, Inc. was founded in 2006) but we have not been able to get things off the ground. We have, however, made progress. We are catching up with our tax filing, reconstructing our business and getting the licenses we need. We did a partial business plan that needs more research and development. We have a web page [www.btganda.com,] but we need to institute more products from which we can draw the profits to put back into the company and our many Non-Profit components. I need management help and a steady income from this to help regenerate ideas and implement programs that will be helpful to the community. We need to find a funder even to just pay the seed money that would get us started with our company’s consulting fees. We are at $00.00 right now. At $60. an hour for consulting fees, I wouldn’t be able to pay for even one hour until we are properly funded. I am hopeful you will contact me with ideas, solutions and suggestions as soon as possible. Investment Needed: $100,000.00.

6) We also have had Real Estate holdings and an office in the past and are hopeful of building up our Real Estate portfolio in the near future. We also need funds to reconstitute and give rebirth to our office to make it fully functional and operable.

We have a small Real Estate Group already meeting in West Philadelphia and we plan to buy and rehab homes and sell them for a profit. Investment Needed: $500,000.00.

7) I also work with a few established Non-Profits in the Philadelphia area including a literacy project and Friends of Somafco, which provides support services to South Africa to fight hunger and educate the people. Investment Needed: $50,000.00.

8) One of the other things I am working on is a city wide conference (in Philadelphia) that deals with Sex, Sexuality, Sexual Healing and Sexual Health Issues in the Black Community. The Conference is slated for April of the year 2013 and will include media hookups & links to other cities and possibly conferences in other cities including New York, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, L.A. and San Francisco. We want to utilize Cable access, cable, newspapers, magazines, established TV and radio to get the positive word out. Preliminary work has begun to seek out funders, sponsors and supporters and focus the Conference on: 1) The Same Gender Loving {SGL} (traditionally called gay people) community of Black people and how they can be a help in our struggle for economic equality, stability, better ethical behavior and honesty in interpersonal relationships in our community instead of a ``third rail’’ or a pariah in regard to the community... We are convinced that many SGL people in our community can be a positive secret weapon in our community and feed into the positive things going on in the community instead of a detriment--if and when their issues are fully aired and a healing process begins. 2) Teen pregnancy and how this is holding back and destabilizing our community as young mothers are left with no visible means of support for their young families and our young men are left with no jobs to support a family even if they do want to stick around to do the fatherly duties they should be doing when they took on fatherhood…. 3) STD’s such as HIV and all the rest and how this in undermining the stability and uplift of our community. What can be done on a mass level, with or without the government, to consistently and effectively stem the tide of HIV and other STD’s? Finding real solutions for this growing problem. We expect to partner with other agencies such as Blacks Educating Blacks about Sexual Health Issues, Adodi Philadelphia and Men of All Colors Together for this one. Investment Needed: $20,000.00.

9) I also want to open a full-service restaurant for homeless people where they can be served with dignity, grace and pride. I would ultimately like to have a place where they can shower and clean up and get a hot meal, for which they either get free or for a nominal fee. It could be a really nice place where regular people who have a deep desire and need to help homeless people. There are many such people within and outside of the Black community. The homeless would be able to purchase take out or eat in meals. (There could be a sliding scale.) We would insist on having healthy, wholesome food (No beef or pork items, little fattening items, & some low sugar or no sugar items included for some desserts). I would like this business to be green friendly and children-friendly as well… Eventually I will write up a proposal for this project and submit it to PhilaBunDance in Philadelphia and to many grant-offering organizations and foundations. Funds needed: $150,000.00

10) My Major corporation (Brother Tracy Gibson & Associates, Inc.—a PR, Marketing, Advertising & Community Advocacy firm) and/or whoever I partner with for this aspect of the business would also like to start a Talent Agency (especially for Black & Latin talent) right in the Philadelphia area. We could offer photo shoots for perspective talent; representation for seeking jobs and getting gigs to do movies, modeling jobs and other jobs that require talent agents; and provide the legal and advocacy representation that our people and clients would need. Funding Needed: $40,000.00.

11) We also want to mass produce a coffee table art object that will represent good will, fertility, good luck and economic prosperity for Black and or African families and be produced in Africa. [We will insist on paying fair and good wages for all labor.] I already have an artist in mind, but it is not set in stone as yet. Financial outlay needed: $20,000.00.

12) We have already started promoting our Black Millionaire’s Network. (BMN)This is not only for Black Millionaires but also for Black people who want to become Black Millionaires and are willing to take the positive financial steps to get there over the duration. Financial outlay needed: $10,000.00.
